PictureBox worked closely with Wilco for two years to create a visual equivalent of the band’s music. The life and inspiration of the band is examined through hundreds of unseen images, from antique instruments to fake record covers to odd ashtrays; from backstage to the recording studio and back again. These images are complemented by lengthy texts written by the band itself and gathered in brand new interviews. In addition to brand-new contributions from Rick Moody and Fred Tomaselli, photography by Michael Schmelling, as well as archival material from Henry Miller and Fluxus legend Bern Porter, The Wilco Book contains a 40-minute CD of unreleased Wilco music.
