I just got my copy in the mail today and I just wanted to express how much I enjoyed this collection, especially as its the first licensing of Tagame’s works in the US! The translations and lettering were clear, but what struck me the most was the subtleties of the artwork that I never noticed from pictures and scans online. It helped me view his works from a different perspective and was incredibly lush to rediscover./

On top of that, I really loved the various forwards and the insight into Tagame’s process, perspective of the industry, and self-reflection of his place in all of it as one of the premiere talents of this genre.

One point of feedback that I would like to suggest if ever you are able to license Tagame’s future works for distribution: Please annotate the sound effects. I know several companies in manga translation do not do this, but I feel they add a really meaningful layer to the reading experience, especially with materials like these!

Neverhteless, really fantastic job, PictureBox! Thank you to Mr. Tagame for his works and sharing these with a US audience and thank you to PictureBox for making it possible! Well done! I hope we’ll continue to see Tagame’s work with such quality coming from PictureBox! It was well worth the money I paid.
