It seems to me that the world isn’t appreciating the awesomeness of The Dolls Weekly and The Crawlee Things by Rory Hayes. Let me show you. Here’s a curated selection of When you break it down, this book is a good deal. It’s 270 pages of black and white [amazing] pencil drawings. So at $30/book, that is only 11 cents per page! Economic utility aside, let’s get to the good stuff.
Please, consider PictureBox fan, Brendt Rioux, who submitted a picture of his reaction to the book as well as his short review.

“Pre-’Demented’, proto Bogeyman pencil madness (’62-67). If that volume is the best kind of crude and juvenile, then this takes it back a step further. Horror comics in-utero!”
If you’re into it, too, feel free to send me pix of you reading your favorite PBox book (@ molly . roth at gmail.com) and I will happily post in on the blog and/or the Facebook page.
This blog is going to take you to school. You will learn about all things PictureBox: old dudes; obscure design; good painting; bad painting; dogs; annoying product endorsements. And so forth. All from me, Dan Nadel, your PictureBox host.
