Well, it’s 2012 and I’m still catching up on 2011. My printer is now offline, so that needs trouble-shooting, and I’ve just placed an order for office supplies, which should make me happy, but does not. No it does not. Let’s look on the bright side and see what we can see. Many PBox titles were on many top-10 lists. Not enough top-10 lists, mind you, because it’s never enough, but, y’know, I’ll take it.
Out in the internet I was happy to see lots of nice things written about books I publish and people I like:
Chris Mautner on why 1-800-MICE is a top book of 2011 (at same link: more props for Yokoyama and others).
Forbes on Golf Wang (seriously).
The Fader interviews Tyler about the Golf Wang book.
Sammy Harkham talks extensively and awesomely about Kramers Ergot 8 at Robot 6.
Excellent interview with James Jarvis at Berserker.
Sean T. Collins on why Garden is a top book of 2011.
Frank Santoro‘s best of 2011 (including surprise great comic).
Anyhow, it’s back to work here. Books in the spring, books in the fall. Books and books. I leave you with this:
This blog is going to take you to school. You will learn about all things PictureBox: old dudes; obscure design; good painting; bad painting; dogs; annoying product endorsements. And so forth. All from me, Dan Nadel, your PictureBox host.
