Frank’s show, “New Values”, opened last week in Los Angeles at Dem Passwords. Ol’ man Santoro really transformed the space — painting the walls, scrubbing the floors, making it a temple to his art. He mounted his drawings on masonite sheets, propped those on paint cans, and then gave them a gentle (gangster) lean. The result is stunning. Enjoy the pix.
This blog is going to take you to school. You will learn about all things PictureBox: old dudes; obscure design; good painting; bad painting; dogs; annoying product endorsements. And so forth. All from me, Dan Nadel, your PictureBox host.
