It’s about damn time, people – I’m sure you’ve all be wondering about the lack of Fan Forum updates – I know I have (on my down time between water polo matches and hot dog eating competitions). Here we have some Mat Brinkman fan art a-la-Multiforce from PBox Fan, Dieter Van der Ougstraete.

Don’t be shy! You all should be like Dieter and contribute to the Fan Forum, too! If you’ve forgotten how to do that, send your submission to molly(dot)roth(at)gmail.com with the subject line, “Fan Forum Submission”. Alright, now you can go back to doing your outdoor yoga or whatever.

ALFE!!!!

June 30th, 2011 by Molly Roth

Thanks for waiting (probably at the edge of your seat) these past weeks for the next submission. I assure you – it’s worth it. These images come from the talented artist, Frederic Fleury, in tribute to Ben Jones’ character, Alfe, who can be seen on Cartoon Network’s Problem Solverz. If these drawings don’t inspire you to doodle up your own fan art, I’m not sure what will – these are top-notch.

CF

June 2nd, 2011 by Molly Roth

PBox fan, AA Drifts writes:

First off. ‘Powr Mastrs’ got me into comics again. Before that though, I have a vague memory of seein a C.F. comic in Kramer’s at a book store and thinkin I needed to remember to look that up… I forgot.

Couple years ago I ran across PM1 on a friends shelf. I was travelin’/spending the night on the floor. It was like a subtle revolution. Read a handful of the chapter-like sections and decided to save the rest for when I bought it. Now, I’m up-to-date, waiting for the next installment.

My fan art is “Broken Flag.” Portrait of Subra Ptareo.

Keep ‘em coming, dudes.

MULTIFORCE

May 25th, 2011 by Molly Roth

Well, it’s about damn time somebody submitted some Multiforce fandom fare. Mat Brinkman’s a talented dude – if you dig Multiforce you may also be interested in his more recent release, Heads 44.

Anyway, before I drench myself in drool over Brinkman, I should credit today’s artist, Carlos Aguilar. Thanks. It’s cool dudes like you who make this blog possible.

The forum continues :)

May 23rd, 2011 by Molly Roth

Received this message from Robert the other day that, I think, is really sweet:

Hello Ms Roth!

A few months ago, my friend Henry introduced me to what may be one of my new favorite comics! C.F.’s “Powr Mastrs” has engaging storytelling, fantastic creatures and brilliant characterization that keep me on the lookout for “Powr Mastrs” #4!

I drew my favorite character Mosfet Warlock along with some seeds of the Mechlin Men. Hope someone finds the character as great as I do!

Robert Richburg

As long as we’re on the subject, I should probably mention that you should check out the original pages from Powr Mastrs now for sale on the website, as Dan recently mentioned in Pbox World.

Dan ‘n’ Gary

May 19th, 2011 by Molly Roth

Thanks for this, Henry Fernau. Receiving this e-mail made me LOL (that is, “Laugh out loud” for all you oblivious geezers) while walking alone through Union Square late the other night, and probably also made me look like a crazy person. That’s, cool, though, because I’m a big fan of Dan Nadel and Gary Panter, too!

With regards to this image, though, I’m especially fond of Dan’s shit-eating grin. From the time I’ve spent working with him, I can attest that is his constant expression. What’s better is that expression juxtaposed with Gary’s contemplative pose. Very nice.

Keep up the good work, Henry! I’m looking forward to your next submission.

From Kevin Huizenga for CF

May 11th, 2011 by Molly Roth

Kevin Huizenga is ahead of the game – he drew these Powr Mastrs guys before the Fan Forum existed. So I’d like to thank him for letting me repost his totally amazing CF fan art.

**Trading Cards**

May 9th, 2011 by Molly Roth

Today’s submission comes all the way from HAZ in Madrid, Spain. He’s submitted some fan art for former Fort Thunder residents, Brian Chippendale, C.F., Leif Goldberg, and Mat Brinkman. He called them “cards,” but I’m thinking something’s been lost in translation. Regardless, good choices, HAZ.

If you’ve ever studied Spanish and let it fall by the wayside, now would be a great opportunity to brush up.

As for you others reading this blog, stop dawdling and get your submission together ASAP!
