Todd James

New-York-based Todd James (born 1969) pioneered a distinct cartoon based graffiti style in New York in the 1980s, working under the name REAS. He has produced work for the Beastie Boys, Eminem and Iggy Pop, among others. His distinctive character designs were the backbone of the Comedy Central series Crank Yankers. He created, with Barry McGee and Steve Powers, Street Market, shown in NYC, the Venice Biennale and LA. He is represented by Gehring Lopez, NY and Nanzuka, Tokyo.
