Milton Glaser

Milton Glaser (b.1929) is a co-founder of Push Pin Studios, with which he revolutionized design and illustration by, among other things, being the first to revive classic ornamental styles and make illustration and design once again in sync with sophisticated visual culture. He has created iconic images for the likes of Bob Dylan and many others. Milton's drawings delineate forms with a light, often sensuous touch. This linework, beautiful on its own, is always in service to a rigorous sense of space and design. He has had the distinction of one-man-shows at the Museum of Modern Art and the Georges Pompidou Center. In 2004 he was selected for the lifetime achievement award of the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum.
