Leonard Starr

Leonard Starr (b. 1925) began his career in comic books but came into his own with his comic strip Mary Perkins on Stage -- a lushly drawn New York melodrama with ran from 1957 to 1979. Starr drew Little Orphan Annie from 1979 to 2000 and, along the way co-created the Kelly Green graphic novel series and was, oddly enough, the head developer and writer for the animated TV series Thundercats.
