Charles Burns

(b. 1955) Charles Burns is an illustrator and cartoonist renowned for his meticulously drawn and composed tales of urban and suburban darkness written with equal parts humor, absurdity, and eeriness.  He was an early contributor to RAW magazine, among other publications.  In addition to his recent publication, Permagel, Burns also participated in the PictureBox Black Light Silkscreen Project.  His most recent publication is X'ed Out.
