Brendan McCarthy

British-born Brendan McCarthy began working in comics in the late 1970s, pioneering a post punk, psychedelic style that he applied to titles including Judge Dredd, Shade the Changing Man, Skin (a brilliant graphic novel written by Peter Milligan), and of course Strange Days. McCarthy often uses color as line and form -- he's a master of creating space out of hues, rather than lines. Damn good like that. He's most recently completed a Spider-Man series for Marvel.
